What is there to tell when NOTHING HAPPENS? But that's a different non-story. Pretty nice little angsty fic, though it begins more unique than it ends.

I'd just like to say...wow. That was moving. There aren't a lot of people I've seen that can fit emotion into words with real fluidity, but it looks like you've done it.

The poem is quite good - the prose form works perfectly with what you are trying to say/feel here. Also, you allow the reader to feel with you, to know what you are feeling.

Plus, I love your word usage (maelstrom - such a big, powerful word!).
