L'Amante di Raso 2006-04-13 . chapter 1there is something very eerie about this one.. like watching yourself being brought down to your knees. |
zz00- 2006-04-03 . chapter 1Mon Dieu! You are amazing. This poem emits gorgeous, albeit depressing imagery and ideas, but, oh, the writing! It's so musical! I can hear it in my heart-beat rhythm, and it just rises like a torrent to match the violence (you've got chuztpa!) you create! I really and truly loved this piece. Good job, bon travail, congrats and félicitations, (I'm a Montrealer, every now and then I like to mix it up with a little French! ;D)! And thank you for the review. You, and your writing, give me faith. :) |
dooley creel 2006-04-02 . chapter 1Well, if even only a slight longing for home then something was evoked, so thanks for that. All of your poems have beautiful phrasing and word sequences, but this one is the first it seems that has such a consistent, coherent and compelling voice, as an account of a fall from grace, as a metaphor or as something more personal. It is developed, you are changed, some exuberant temerity subdued, metamorphosed into a more stable and powerful form, with insight and courage. I hope you came to this abrupt vision without serious trauma. be well, take care. |
Bragi 2006-03-29 . chapter 1I adore! You have obviously come a long way since you first started posting; that much is apparent. Your rhyme and meter is perfecting itself, even your capitalization issues seem to have disappeared (All except for the title, of course). And, as always, your subject matter grows more riveting with every work. Is this, by any chance drawn from the Chronicles of Narnia? |
