dbz 77 2007-01-28 ch 1,	This is an interesting essay. A ten megaton airburst detonation would generate a fireball about 1.36 miles wide. It would destroy all structures within ten miles of ground zero. People caught outdoors within nineteen miles of a ten megaton detonation would suffer third degree burns on exposed skin. The actual effect of a nuclear war, of course, depends on the combatants and their arsenals. Certainly the U.S. has mnore nuclear firepower than Britain does.
