Wow! This story is really creepy (in a good way, of course!). Deirdre really brings to mind the children in Edward Gorey's books, but more dark and detailed. Her innocence and darkness are spooky and sweet in equal measures. Wonderful POV as well, told from the child's level and the reader is left guessing about what is really going on.

I really enjoyed this, it's just scary enough and the ending is wonderful. Well done!
