Interesting story, what a premise! The institution is really cold and scary, and I really felt the cruel atmosphere. The feelings of rebellion and secret revolt are also good in this one. I felt so bad for Magdalene, but her strength in the face of all the negativity is nice. You have a great way of writing dialogue so it's natural and not too wordy.
