ch 1,  | abuseThis poem was looking so lonely without a review, I thought I'd write something. Of all the things you have written, this is my favourite. It has my favourite poetry subjects, war and love. The way it shows the futility of war is wonderful, as Sapphire Eyes presumably dies and his fiance (obviously that's what the dress of white wool is for - a wedding) lives in sadness for the rest of her days. The fact that never loves another man shows what it means to truly love a person. |
