Punch in the gut. I did this once too with someone, and yes it does haunt in those late night/early morning hours when just drifting in or out of sleep-- or as you say during sleep in our dreams.

I hope to have learned from that experience and am trying desperately not to repeat it a second time.

Because some things can never be UNdone, even though we'd give our right arm, or even our life in exchange for it.

TIME does not necessarily HEAL all wounds...just scars them over, as you say.
