Actually, the original geisha were men/boys/male/however you want to put it. Just a random historical fact... so actually, this story's premise isn't so far from the truth.

Homosexuality in historical japan actually is a very interesting subject... if you ever get the chance to research it, it's actually really interesting. ^_^
