The problem with haiku is that there are so few words and such immensely boundless topics bound into the same art form. To find someone skilled at it is uncommon, but this is a very good one. Your use of "the" before protector was nice, as articles are often the first things to go when syllables are limited. In this case, it was gracefully necessary. Good work.
