Maddie, I really like this poem, and I love how you have picked a subject that all of us can relate to in love. It is a take on a subject that is familiar and deep, but not beyond understanding or vague. There is very little of the flow issues typically associated with free verse. About the only thing I would say is that I would say something like until then, or until that change, instead of so for now, but that may be just me. At the rate you are improving with your poetry, you'll pass me in a couple days! Very good poem.
