This story seems really interesting. And I love how the chapters are so long :] I only got to ch. 5 for now because I have to clean my basement before my mom comes home so any way I will definitely be checking back soon. your character's voice in the story sort of reminds me of my friend hehe

Anyways I'm a bit sad that you haven't updated in a while, and I hope that you'll pick it up again sometime soon. And for what it's worth, I really enjoyed it. I could connect with Lia, since I'm asian as well. =)

WHOA. I was looking for something to read, hoping to find something that would inspire me to write more than a word, and that lead me to a string of romance stories with reviews up in the thousands... that I quickly became bored with. Ugh. Then I click Quattrocentista, (because you can't lose with a title you can't pronounce) and am BLOWN AWAY. I mean, there's not much romance happening, and I totally don't mind that, cause this story is all kinds of INTERESTING. First, I connected to the story immediately cause I'm pretty familiar with asian families of THAT TYPE. You know, Psycho uptight mom with broken english, a brilliant/studious first daughter, a flighty/social second brother and a psycho/weird spoiled little brother, as it's the same structure my friend's family has - right down to the names! Two older girls have slightly asian names and the brother has some oddball utterly american name. Well, anyway, even the way they react is kinda the same (except my friend's sister has a little more backbone than Lia, but my friend has the same "what." reaction as her.) and the driving is EXACTLY THE SAME.

The only difference being Tae. Initially, I couldn't see how (this being 'romance') Tae and Lia would get together, since I was pretty sure Tae would be 'teh interest'. Amazingly I thought Tae was GOING through Toni to get to Lia, it was a little surprising to know he thought Toni was the older of the two (I could see how he made the mistake, though). But wow the new plan is freaking scary and makes me feel bad for Lia if it actually works. I'm really hoping it doesn't and she one-ups him, but what usually happens is the girl gets duped no matter how smart they are... sad. And I totally wish they could somehow get Toni to GET OFF BOYS. Like scare her or something. And I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER SCHOOL. But judging from last update, that'll never happen. Ah, man... You've ruined me. I just want more stuff exactly like this, which will never happen...

Sorry I didn't review every chapter I was just super excited about getting to the next part...

I'm literally in love with this story. It's so darn hilarious. Whenever I read this, I laugh uncontrollably and people look at me funny. Ed pretty much kicks **. I wish he were my brother(: Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading more. It's awesome(:

I'm loving this story so far, but for someone who loves math, Lia isn't very on top of technology. Is there a TI-100? I'm pretty sure the graphing calculators commonly used today start at TI-83 and go up from there. Now a TI-89 would be awesome, because it does integrals and derivatives FOR YOU!

First off, I love that you've written a story with a Vietnamese protagonist. Coming from a Vietnamese background myself, I definitely can relate to a lot of the things going on in the story, which is great. I love the way you've written Lia's mother and definitely see a lot of reflections of some of my family members in her. Haha.

Now for a little bit of constructive criticism: as your story is labeled under "Romance," I definitely came into this expecting, well, a romance. Thus far though, there's been a lot about Lia and the quirks of her family and we've got some glimpses of Tae. I feel like you might have put too much on this story by incorporating so much of the family stuff into it--it feels like it's detracting from the main story, which I'm assuming is or will be the relationship that develops between Lia and Tae (unless I'm completely off). It's been 19 chapters and it feels like all of that has been mostly exposition and only now are we getting into some truly interesting territory for the two characters. As much as I love what you've done in fleshing out the family members, I feel like a lot of it is filler and can be cut out. If you were to do that--either in future chapters or should you choose to go back and do some edits--I think it would definitely serve the larger story much better.

I'm also a bit concerned about the character of Tae, whom thus far has been presented as a rather unsavory character. I do realize though that his character's presentation has been skewed a bit, since we've been seeing him mostly from Lia's POV. I know you've also mentioned future chapters in which we might get more of his perspective on things. I hope that we'll get to find some more redeeming characteristics in him, should he actually ever end up paired with Lia in some way, shape, or form.

I hope the criticism isn't too harsh. Your piece is definitely quite unique and I think you've got some really great moments in it so far and it definitely has a lot of promise for what will happen in the future. I hope that you will get the opportunity to update soon. I'm definitely intrigued to find out what happens with Lia and Tae.
