The sporadic rhyming keys the reader in to the torrent of emotions, and the particular allusion to Eurydice conveys the extent of your despair. I definitely enjoyed the alliterations in this piece, esp. that of "horns shall sound the horror of the hounds" The assonance coupled with the alliteration provided a powerful punch.
