Reviews For: Nothing Gold
Ephemeral Seraphim 2006-05-07 . chapter 1
Your poems are entrancing...and they unfurl before the readers eyes in an ethereal, seductive, beautiful manner...almost like a poisoned lotus, or like an intoxicating wine, and it gives the reader a euphoric drunken high, and they want more, more, more. I love how you put fairy tale references into the poem, it gives the kind of illusionary feel to this romance depicted in the poem. Eloquently written, simply tragic, intriguing typography that really portrays the emotion in your piece across, and the words themselves breathe with life. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, and I'm sorry to hear that this poem has been weaved out from personal experience, but this work is simply fantastic and touching...your work really does speak out from the heart and emotions, and that is why you're one of my favorite poets ^^

contrast and friction 2006-04-29 . chapter 1
This is so tragic & heartbreaking.

"Romance has its hypnotizing allure, clouding all rationality" It's so sad how love can blind us, until, when it's over, we sit there with the broken pieces of our hearts in our hands and we wonder why we never saw it coming..

I'm sorry that you have to experience this. It's not easy. Take care.

I think I have an idea of what you're feeling, I'm experiencing a similar crisis (shall we say) I hope you'll be all right.

Onto the review: This poem is splendid & just so gorgeous. Painful and dazzling and truthful. Completely wonderful, heartbreak at it's finest. Keep going! Please.

"Romance has its hypnotizing allure, clouding all rationality. For the love of your Jesus, girl, open your eyes to the truth."

I love how it applies to real life. It's great advice even the author should follow. Has she learned her lesson from the hellish past, and apply it to future endeavors...or will it go forgotten and follow with heartbreak?
