Seras Nova 2006-05-03 . chapter 1Ending was magnificent! Defiantly blew me away because I did not expect such a dramatic last line. It clinched this poem's value of worth. Nicely done as always FC.
Keep writing.

Faithless Juliet 2006-05-01 . chapter 1“Such glory days they/Were, yet since I’ve/Seen wars unfold/With carnage treatedGladly, by masters of/Their craft” It always seems that leaders (or people of a leadership role) love to throw out the term ‘dictator’ to everyone else around them, but I think everyone who has led something be it a country or an ant farm will become somewhat of a violent master of their crafts. It’s the nature of control. Some kind of character flaw of humanity, or something.
“They thought me gone, as/I let them have their tribal dance around/In victory, their spoils all/Important on display/As I hobbled discretely to one/Side out of view, and poured/My own sweet desire/Gently across the floor behind them/They didn’t noticeThought it was from my roasting/Heart & soul” - Superb stanza. I loved the themes of this.
