American Schokolade 2008-03-03 ch 4,	abuseI really dislike this story if only because it lacks any sort of originality. The beginning started out all right, even though Noah is a stereotypical assassin character, but when I saw the word "transport," I felt my heart sink. If that had been in the summary, I probably wouldn't have even read this story, if only because in my experience all transporting stories are vaguely different tellings of the same exact story: Transporter picks up package, is told not to look inside, job goes wrong, transporter opens package, package is human, transporter falls in love, much action of both kinds follows. I read on, holding out hope, but, alas, this one fell into that same pattern. I love assassin stories, so I was hoping that the transporting job was just a plot device to bring the two together in a more non-conventional way. But no, the goods turned out to be human, of course. Even more, he was Asian. This is just like a gay version of "The Transporter" starring Jason Statham. Turn that Asian chick into a boy, and voila, you've got this. If I were you, I'd put "Yaoi retelling of The Transporter" in the summary so no one thinks you're a plagiarist. And then, last but definitely least, not only is Miya Asian, but he is Japanese. And named Miyavi. Now, I guess I can hold out the hope that perhaps that isn't his real name and he chose it for himself because he's a creepy fanboy of the j-rocker, or something, but...eh... Let's just say that that isn't a very common name because the "vi" sound doesn't technically exist in Japanese. And that makes me think that Miya is just a product of anime-obsession, which I have no problem with except that otaku fans tend to write the same crap over and over again. Japanese people have their places in stories, but in this one, it comes across as obsessive drivel. I was trying to look for the redeeming qualities of this, and the only one I can find is that you have good grammar. My advice: Give up this story and spend more effort on the other ones.
