Beautiful. The phrase "dark idolatry", catches the mind, or at least my mind, with it's unexpectedness. Maybe because it feels like an alliteration, but it isn't. I miss your updates, to me you've always been the perfect poet.

I have often thought that everyone has the same amount of weight on their shoulders; those who do not have burdens create them or take on others' as their own. This poem seems to support that theory.

Excellently worded with original rhymes and an obvious (but not overstated) message. Good work.
