Matt Sheard 2006-06-08 . chapter 1Brilliant. Actually brilliant. On the level of descriptions of your mother's voice, wonderfully simple as you note in turn her tone with each member of the family, though noticeably not mentioning yourself, perhaps linked to the metaphysical ideas you express with "Mine is nonexistent too". The slightly philosophical hint at why your mother continues to love of the man and of the excellent lines "I've listenend / I've always been listening" - great use of the pretirate followed by the perfect tense to give that sense of continuation which forms a break in the poem, signelling that you still haven't resolved your great philosophical (metaphysical) question - that of the existance of your own voice and your influence, perhaps overshadowed by your mother.
A great poem, well written. A true pleasure to read.

Immortal Nyght 2006-05-24 . chapter 1Your voice is not silent. This is apparent in your writing, in your daily speech, and in your heart's conviction. But even as you write about falling silent, you speak with integrity and influence. Don't let anyone ever make you feel otherwise. Ever. I'm sorry it took so long for me to review this. It was captivating. -Your Immortal |
Aella88 2006-05-22 . chapter 1Wow. That's a sad but beautiful poem. And truthfully, I think it fits a lot of people. I know it probably fits my own mother partially, and maybe even me in ways too. |

Dying Rose 2006-05-12 . chapter 1Sad, tragic, beautiful. I know the feeling somewhat. It's a good poem. I felt the emotion in the words. |
Nessuno 2006-05-12 . chapter 1I like it. Not your best work but it still gets your point across. The best gift of all for mother's day. The truth. |
