Wonderful, this reminds me of a friend I knew who died and the ironies of his death as well. Touching. Yes, I think it would be a difficult feat to translate your poems into English, but Elie Wiesel translated his book into English a long time ago, and recently he went back and corrected the errors the script had simply because he had gained more knowledge. Reminds me of the quote that a poem is never finished-just abandoned! Keep writing!
