| boys kiss girls 2006-12-09 ch 12, | I like the twist on the story. You made it not have a happily ever after ending... it's not as common but it's refreshing. I especially love the last couplet. It not only adds an ending feeling to this tanka, but as an ending to this series in its entirety. The first three lines also remind me of a poem that I had to analyze recently but I can't remember what the title was or who the author was. However, I liked that poem just as I liked this one. This entire series was beautifully written, descriptive, and close to perfect. |
| boys kiss girls 2006-12-09 ch 11, | I feel lonely after reading this. This "chapter" is very strong in the sense that it is relatable. It sort of reminds me of a song called "Your Ex-Lover is Dead" by Stars, particularly the lines in that song that go "I'm not sorry I met you, I'm not sorry it's over, I'm not sorry there's nothing to say." The sky reference in the last line completes it along with adding an elevated feeling to it (no pun intended). |
