I find that I can really relate to this now, now that a very dear mentor of mine will be leaving. It's one of those things you have to reluctantly accept, isn't it?

Short, but packs a lot of punch. Although it's a bit sad, I see a bit of hope in it, too; when you say, "You'll soon leave me in search of new horizons", it's like you've accepted the truth, and you're bravely moving on. Or maybe I'm way off the mark. Anywho, poetry isn't my thing, as you already know.
