Reviews for Gone Fishing
Lortenian 2/4/08 . chapter 1
"The unborn sun’s glow illuminates the eastern sky like embers in a fire." Simply written, but beautifully said. And you don't tell us, you SHOW us.

You are...extraordinary. Honestly. Your writing is a good example for young writers to follow. For some reason, Gone Fishing is my favorite out of your collection.

Have you ever considered publishing anything? What are you doing HERE? ;)

Okies, I'm reviewing as I go...heehee...one of my favorite past times, I read it once then review it as I read it again. Could you imagine writing a novel like this? Can you say Herman Melville? I like the whole of it. How it all comes together, flows together...it didn't make me smile, it made me nostalgic. My great grandparents used to own a cottage on a lake and my cousins and I would go out fishing sometimes...but not usually on the boat. And the truck reminds me of the truck that my crazy uncle Jack drives...it doesn't have brakes...haha...*clears her throat knowing that someday he's going to die using that truck*

I like the word plethora...did you know that plethora (other than being a kick ass word meaning a lot) is a condition in which there is too much blood in the circulatory system? I read that somewhere a long time ago...it's one of the thing I keep stored in my brain (it's on the shelf next to the fact that rigor mortis starts with your eyelids).

I like the last line...it was nice...and wonderful, and inspiring. I think I'll go write something.

Gorgeous description, but I can't get over the resonance of that last line.
