The comparison of life & a quilt (tapestry, etc.) is very cliched, & this poem does not show the similarities in any new way.

The inversion of "are three" and the other instances aren't warranted by any structural or sonic reasons, & only distract.

Also, this is closer to prose with line breaks than poetry- look at it this way:

"Then there is that inner part of us, that part of spirit, of heart and mind that when properly cultivated gives to us true meaning and purpose."
