| his-skinnyDOLL 2006-08-18 ch 1, | abuseI love the third stanza - this is really good. And like every other adolescent girl, I know what you mean by this! |
| Manuel Fajar 2006-08-17 ch 1, | abuseMarie, when you get a chance go to the tropics and there you can taste nispero, guanabana, sapote, mamón, cashew (cajuil) ,jagua, guava, chinola as well as ripe pineapples, mangos ... and a full panoply of smells and flavors that are truly ineffable. I've left out dozens of other fruits. Of course, there's seasonal variations, but you get the idea, there's an entire world of taste that is closer to pomegranates and persimmons in their subtle scents and tastes than to green honeydew and apples (although they too can be delicious when properly ripened.) BTW, nice poem. manuel |
| Evangeline Rose 2006-08-09 ch 1, | abuseI like how it's got a little bit of an abstract feel to it. Nice lines-- "you're a smooth Irish cream sliding down my throat" is probably my favorite. The rhythmn is usually on, but the last lines of the verses are all different. This is just my advice, and you don't have to take it or anything, but I think that "elaborate" should be removed from the last line of the first verse, and that you should add "and" to the beginning of the last line of the second verse. It fixes the flow of it a bit, I think. Otherwise, I quite like it. Keep it up. I'll be sure to come back and review more and watch for new stuff. ^_^ And, wow, a review already! Thanks for that! It means a lot to me to know that people are actually reading. Makes me very happy to get reviews. Thanks again! |

| asdfasdfafsa 2006-05-26 ch 1, | abuseThis is very interesting. At first read, it seems almost like a humour poem or something. Then, you see it was written with "humour" as a deep poem. (whoa, that didn't really make sense.. i hope you get it) This poem is actually really good. It's just you need to read into it more. Good job! ~Alice~ |
| ItachiLover2 2006-05-26 ch 1, | abuseO this was very descriptive and original. I love the ending. Nice work! ~Why'd you read my crap poems! >:o hehe...I'm sorry you had to be mentally scarred but I wanted to keep them so I could later laugh at them ^^ ~ |
| summerbee 2006-05-25 ch 1, | abuseJust got your review to my most recent poem (and even I can't remember what I named it). But yeah, I'm SO happy you reviewed- not only because I got a review and of course those are always nice, but so I got to read your amazing work. The middle stanza is just amazing- that whole metaphor leaves me absolutly floored, and...it's just SO powerful. God, I'm getting all lost for words now. |
