this makes me feel bad about "choking" :P. it's beatstreamconsciousness TO PERFECTION. i had, of course, read it before. i am especially in love with the first stanza in its entirety (alcoholic lights! paler eyes... littered damaged halo) & :

there’s glass at my feet,

and the cold shake of hooliganism

around shuddering grates

:|:|:|:|:|:|:| how ASTOUNDINGLY beautiful :|. my darling, i swear. it's so perfect it makes me want to die.

and of course the last two lines. all-encompassing. also scarily empathic, in my lone trainloving travelling circumstances... :P

I love how this keeps coming back to the train, yet the imagery and location feel all over the place. You've grounded us with just the aspect of the train but also you allow us to move with you through the spaces of this story. I really enjoyed it, the writing was superb.
