Oh Mindy, you write good poetry. I read this twice and it reminds me of a beautiful boy I kissed and tried to save like he was a piece of chocolate in my cheek but it always melts and I found the inside too bitter for my taste and he was gone, so gone. This poem makes me sad but my mouth puckers and the thought of the taste and I wish maybe I hadn't been so hungry. Beautiful alliterations that seems so circus-cotten-candy-covering my cheeks...ah. Lovely.

personal?!? it feels like you're over my freaking shoulder! insane. I love the tastes here, and also the darkness, the dirt. it's amazing. the ending is a little strange, but gets better on the second read. overall, good stuff.

oh man, this reminds me way too much of summer. the descriptions were perfect as always. love 'the filigree of your sighs and screams' very nice contrast. the ending seemed a little abrupt to me though. good work anyhow. it definitely succeeded in making me crave for a sugar fix.

i don't know about the personal feel, maybe - it does feel detached, not in a bad way - but the opening line is certainly... intriguing.

or maybe i'm just fascinatedby strangers, too.
