This is amazing!

I'm noticing a pattern here. I read "Thoughts of an Assassin," which was excellent. Then I read the romance poem, something about gravity, and it was so-so. Then I read "Floating, Fleeting," which was freaking outstanding. Then I read this, which is just kinda average. I guess that means the next poem I read of yours will once again be amazing.

[Yet nothing, no one, is astir, / Not even a tiny mouse.] Seriously, this is just silly. You totally ripped off "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

I think this is my least favorite of your poems so far (the ones I've read, at least). It's an okay poem, but the rhythm and imagery and stuff isn't as strong as your others, in my opinion.

As far your Author's Note goes, I don't really think this is a hard poem to understand. I mean, we may not know the inspiration behind it, but the imagery and stuff is pretty simple, and poetry is always intepreted in different ways by different people. I'm not a big fan of abstract poetry that nobody understands (not even the writer probably) and this poem totally doesn't fall under that category.

A decent poem. Not your best. I know you're capable of better.

That was beautifully melancholic and soft. I could imagine these as lyrics. I love this poem, I can really relate to that. I love the lines "No more of the ringing laughter.

There is only silence now,

Peace that was never sought after.

Tormented on the inside,..." It's so pretty!

Interesting poem, all of which supports 'empty'. Great work. Keep writing, s.
