Jave 2007-02-05 . chapter 5 Ah, the plot thickens. When do we meet some of Cedric's 'associates?' |
JaveHarron 2006-12-11 . chapter 4 Ah, I did enjoy some of the mystical references in this chapter... When “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” was mentioned, it was obvious Alie C. would be involved. Sounds like the stakes are raising, at least somewhat. |
Edcrab 2006-12-10 . chapter 4This is just awesome. I thought we were in for a filler chapter here, but the rapport Walton seems capable of conjuring up with *any* character kept this nice and interesting, and the plot doesn't so much progress as it does expand cleverly!
I'm definitely liking how every factor of the occult and the supernatural is included or represented in this community you've described: I wonder how they'd all react to the posers and wannabe nihilists in the world? :p
Oh, and as is tradtional: MORE! |
Edcrab 2006-10-18 . chapter 3I'll admit that I'm not usually a fan of first-person fiction, but this is definitely growing into an exception! Mind you, it took me an age to come back to it- don't know what I'm playing at.
Some of the metaphor reminds me of the wonderfully absurd stuff the likes of Rob Grant and Doug Naylor employ- great to read, and Isaac is a bloody funny character! Magical hippie? Sure you weren't on something yourself? :p
Looking forward to the assembly of Walton's team... |
JaveHarron 2006-09-18 . chapter 3 Hilarious flatmate! Finally, the story was updated, and Walton Sim...er...Taylor rides again! How about Phantus? |
Edcrab 2006-08-02 . chapter 2Schadenfreude, Jave? Damn right! Poetic justice = win!
This is brilliant. Very funny, very dark, very well written. The style is fluid and none of the narrative ever feels forced- and the fact that Walton realises how dangerously unpredictable a superpowered hormone-fuelled teen could be makes him an instant genius amongst fantasy protagonists... saying nothing of the little revenge fantasy he got to play out in the superb intro!
Anyway, the usual rule has passed- second story of yours worthy of my favourites list, so now you're on the Favourite Author list ;) |
JaveHarron 2006-06-06 . chapter 2 "Not only was I now faced with a despotic eco-terrorist maniac, but the constable hadn’t brought me a coffee."
That line was hilarious! |
