I'm really shocked here, everything from hating silence, acting indifferent, not forgiving a parent, always moving, never opening up..blinks I'm seriously in shock. Sorry if this sounded like a self centered review I was so surprised I had to say something. Anyway, I really liked this story and your characters and everything in it really! I really, really liked the ending because nothing was clear and our imaginations could fill in the future :)
andee lee 2008-07-11 ch 17,	abuseI really enjoyed this story! I always love the characters that you can't stand, but at the same time, can't get enough of. Like Casey. I only wish there was a little more developement of all the characters - I just feel like I didn't get to know them that well. Other than that, it was awesome! I liked the uniqueness behind Katie's mom leaving ... something to make it a little different from the typical military kid's story. Anyways, I'm rambling. I really loved this, though. Only ONE problem! The abrupt end! An epilogue is needed!! What happened with Stephanie? Kari and Dez? Her mom? Her dad? How is college gonna work? Casey's smart, he probably could go to U of Chicago as well, right? How did the school react? All these questions left unanswered! I really hope you write up an epilogue! crosses fingers
pucashells 2008-07-07 ch 17,	abusewow, that's all i have to say. i stumbled across this story and could not stop reading! i just wanted to write a review to tell you that this was one of the best stories i have come across. i also noticed that this was nominated for best chemistry and there was no denying katie and casey's chemistry. you are a wonderful writer, keep with it!! thanks for a full day of reading.. =) -casey (...not a boy though! hehe)
AJS 2008-06-19 ch 16,	abuseAH PERFECT ending!! Seriously. Really. That last chapter was just what made your story move from good to great. What gave your story the most meaning. It's like nailing your conclusion of an essay, and you just nailed the ending to your story. I'm not even just talking about them making up but just I guess all of Katie's realizations throughout the night/chapter collectively just made the entire story. I think that some parts at the beginning were a bit stereotypical, over-done high school moments, and I don't think that the real chemistry between Katie & Casey started kicking in until like... when he went up to Chicago because he was worried about her, to be honest. Like I guess the park yeah but I wouldn't really say that I felt it back then. It was Chicago and onwards for me. I had to look again at your skow nomination because if I didn't know any better, I would have thought chapter 9 would be nominated for best kiss. Could definitely see that happening. I might even go to put in a nomination like... tomorrow. Anyways, yeah. I don't even know what my point is. I loved the ending - it was perfect. I'm so obsessive that I went to google maps and googled how long it takes by car to get from U of Wisconsin - Madison and U of Chicago (51 min is the answer). As always, your stories have tons of meaning to them. I didn't really think that Stephanie would be such a big deal, once Casey & Katie got together. The way I saw it, Katie's conversation with Stephanie made me think that Stephanie had resigned herself to the idea that she had no chance with Casey. Stephanie turned into ultra-bitch by the end. Blondie's good in my books :) Erica was a bit annoying after she found out about Katie & Casey and kept badgering Katie about it, throwing it in her face, etc. I don't know. I get that she was concerned about Stephanie and Casey's feelings, but at the same time, I think she should have also kept in mind that Katie was her friend too. I kind of agree with Desmond on that account: people like Erica and Casey should have stopped to consider what Katie was going through too. Anyways though. I realize I've said this a million times already but amazing end. My brother's pestering me so I'll stop now. Keep up the good work - PLEASE keep on writing. I think everyone who has read anything of yours would have to agree :) I hope to read more by you soon! (The amazing thing about your stories is that they don't all sound exactly like each other. You're able to diversify your stories, which is definitely a hard feat to accomplish) -- Alyssa
