Haunting... the end almost brought me to tears (definitely made my throat feel all lumpy). This is (to my knowledge) the first real piece of prose I have read from you... I have to say you're quite brilliant at it. Your use of description... the way you described Jack Slade, for example without the sentences only giving discription of his looks but of his personality or his movements at the same time.

I can't wait to see what other stories you might bring out from hiding ;)
