I have a six month old border collie named Toby myself, so I had to read this poem. I was expecting some simple poem but this is really extraordinary. I loved your diction. There are too many great parts in this to point them all out, but some of my favorites are “stained with the whisper of tomorrow” and “Lord Night laid dreams of sunsets at your dappled feet.” There is a lot of great imagery in this piece as well. Keep up the excellent work!
