Aucamortingo 2007-07-20 . chapter 1The word "kimono" reminded me of "Memoirs of a Geisha." Have you read it, or seen the movie? I absolutely ADORE it! =D |
q is for quirks 2006-07-20 . chapter 1oh, it did entertain me so much. it reminds me of my mom, because she refuses to "age with grace" (as they call it). she has so many gray hairs- mostly from me :D- and she just got her hair dyed blonde yesterday. but i refuse to let her forget her true age! anyways, great poem, it was very entertaining. i should show it to my parents... they're ancient... :) |
simpleplan13 2006-06-20 . chapter 1This was soo sweet & funny. being 17 i can only relate to some of them, but my mom is turning 50 this year & it made me think of her.. very cute poem.. tahnks for your review |
truth is subjective 2006-06-19 . chapter 1! Nice idea :D Much like px's one.
If you made it rhyme, and put the last line on a different stanza, I think it would have been great and better!
But it'll still a very nice idea! Keep writing (poems) :D |
burning in effigy 2006-06-18 . chapter 1Love the gradual progression from year(s) to year(s). Like how the ending doesn't reveal everything... and why she doesn't want to be forty |
px 2006-06-18 . chapter 1 Haha first to review.:)
I don't think 40 year olds wish they're infants. I would think more of 20 to 30...y'know, prime years... but anyways.
The clothing idea is cool! It IS interesting to see how a person's taste changes over the years...:) It sounds like a model woman's ideal life...posh and luxurious and all family-career-friends-freedom.
The last line was good.^^ It tied the poem [?] off neatly and it was a surprise. And injected humour into the whole thing. ^^
Oh, but as an ad on tv declares, your life BEGINS at 40! Hahaha.
Interesting poem, keep writing. |
