I looove it!

For one thing, I don't think you failed the Scot accent because I can literally -hear- him in my head. For two...
Vincent is a total fucking girl in the morning. I mean, I'm a girl and I'm not that bad! Given the situation I understand to a degree but holy crap!
God damn I missed this constant cycle of . Can't believe I took such a break from this site. Glad I have a computer I can access it from finally. :) Give Grim a hug for me, and Vincent a consoling 'Don't worry. I'm short too.'

Love your characters! please update soon.

Goodness, this story is a gem that I managed to find within billions on this site. I'm so happy to come across this!
I never really reviewed much, so I'm sorry if this cuts really short and pointless. lol D: Although I feel terrible for each character, my heart broke a thousand times for Xeraph for this chapter. That internal struggle feeling about Vincent and knowing the lonesome feeling that bounces to Jasper... it's confusing and painful. I don't know how to explain it (and putting an excuse that English isn't my forte XD). It's funny that my chest aches when he confessed to Vincent when he said he wished that Vince was a girl. It's definitely a scary/unnerving feeling when the person you've fallen for is of the same gender. Especially that they're "The Only" male while you're still heavily attracted to females. Personal experience, I feel as I can relate to him in a way. The friendship over the years is so deep that you can't help it. Like one reviewer below me mentioned how he's just attracted to Vincent. In other words, I loved the garage scene. Your effort is great! :P
The story in general, the transition between each characters' POV is very smooth and flows really well. It doesn't feel like, "Whoa, character jump already? When did that happen?" I also liked how Vincent didn't completely cave under Xeraph and run off into the sunset, no matter how much he feels for him. Weird thing, I even liked reading when everyone had doubts in this chapter. There seems to always be this nagging feeling when you do something. When I read some stories, I can't help but feel a little sad that some characters instantly get-over-their-feelings/forget-everything-till-the -end, you know? Though, sometimes I wish I had that magic button for that feeling to go away. XD
Keep up the great job and sorry for my Engrish! lol
Love from Thailand! 3

Thank you for your wishes! To answer your question, the band was D'espairsRay.
Now, the actual review! :)
I was wondering whether you dropped the story, and it goes without saying that I was very happy when I saw the notification in my inbox!
You said it, and now confirmed, that there was so much angst to come and you were right! I was right too; something actually happened between Xeraph and Vincent...Vincent had a point; they had to stop, otherwise everything would have gone to hell.
Grim feeling guilty about what he'd done with Jasper, Jasper's desperate love for Xeraph...(I like the nickname Sparky), it got to me in a way, and I think almost all people can recognize themselves in some way; unrequited love can be a pretty nasty thing.
I think I can understand Xeraph in a way, the way he may feel or may not feel about Vincent. If he was in love with him, then it's just that one person and that one time, that is, the only male he would ever, for instance, kiss, and nobody else. So he's not straight, gay, or bisexual in a strict sense. He's more Vincent-oriented (until he gets sober, that's when we'll get to see if this applies to him then, too). That's the reason he can't be like that with poor Jasper.
In the end, all of them got something, but it still left them empty, with nothing.
I hope this all makes sense. Don't worry about the reviews, the same happened to me. People are too lazy to write them. :)
I'm looking forward to the next chapter (don't make me wait too long :D )!

i've reviewed your works before, a few years ago, but have conviently forgotten my log-in since it has been a while since I viewed this site. Although I've grown ever-so slightly confused with the Unwanted Guardian series (that's mainly due to my lack of concentration and focus due to the uni work, 2 jobs, music school and volunteering I do; in between sleeping and eating of course); your writing is still great and improving with every chapter. Please, please, please keep the updates with Grim and Graves coming: I do enjoy this story ever so much. Though I am curious as to which part of England Graves is from: he seems to have the typically American-stereotype English accent that rarely any of us "Tommys" speak with, unless we're taking the mick out of ourselves. "Yur-reet chuck/love/cock" is more common here in the north (and yes cock is a term of endearment from the pie-eating people of Wigan).
Sorry for the rambling, its 2am here which you can imaging does nothing for the sanity. It was just meant to be some words of encouragement to continue with this great, original story and to keep up the good work!

Yesterday was my birthday, so I regard this chapter as a sort of a birthday present. It made my day even more because yesterday, too, one of my favorite bands disbanded.
Now, the story. Is it just me, or is Vincent a bit (or a LOT) jealous? I hope he stops Grim and Jasper, despite the fact that what is going on between them is rather hot. I wonder if they'd end up in bed (I think they will, and I'm not sure if I approve or disapprove of this).
Grim, Grim, Grim...Well, he's just another male, after all. You can't expect of him not to behave the way he does, given the fact that Vincent is denying him over and over again. I wish he could be more stubborn and show Vincent his affections in a way that wouldn't be offensive to the blond man.
I must note that Vincent's reasons for discarding Grim as a potential partner are a bit shallow, but on the other hand, I can understand, too. So much ambivalence, I suppose.
That darkness Xeraph saw in Grim-I can't wait to see its manifestation. I want to know what it is and if they can help him.
I also wonder if Vincent and Xeraph would start something between each other, too. Too many questions, I suppose. But if the reader has nothing to say/ask, then the story isn't good, I think. Therefore, I can only add this: I'm looking forward to the next installment! Please update as soon as you can.

I thoroughly enjoyed your new chapter, as always, and was pleasantly surprised to see the story updated!
More tension is building up; we get to see many things: Vincent's weaknesses, a bit of his kindness, too; Grim getting out of control; Xeraph's background- very interesting what we discovered about him, especially referring to his migraine, that is, his vulnerability, since he always appears unaffected by things. I hope he won't lose his cool, though. Jasper-I'm curious to find out more about him.
Things are getting more and more interesting...And I'm glad to hear there would be more angst, I love angst!
I'm looking forward to your next installment!

i love this. is there seriously any chance that this will be updated though?
| allyoucaneater 5/17/11 . chapter 3
Ohey I never noticed that this story is being rewritten 8D It's so much better than before. (I kinda stalked this fic for a few months back when you first posted it- but I thought you abandoned it and it made me a sad kitty).
Honestly, writing a review makes me nervous since I never know what to write about but heee I just need to review this. I just love Grim's and Graves's partnership dynamics. They're like copper wires you should never let touch or something will explode but at the same time, you want to see if there will be fireworks if you let them touch. Kinda cool.
And as a (very slightly anglophilic) 'girl' who has English as a second language (and is very fascinated by it), it pleases me to see how smartly you use the words. Here I go hugging myself with happiness over something dumb like Vincent's 'accent'.

Would you believe me if I told you I've been thinking for a while to ask you if you would update this story? Recently it has been on my mind and I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my inbox today!
It's been a while so I had to reread the second chapter in order to read this one. It took me by surprise that they were actually being tested, not in real danger. I sighed in relief, yet, partly, I expected such an outcome, since this is just the beginning and it was less likely they would die.
Even though the part in the supermarket was a bit melodramatic, it was hilarious in a way. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as much as I enjoyed their making out in the backseat. I believe that the method Grim used was valid; he just needs to challenge Graves, to tell him that he was afraid to kiss him, for instance, so that the latter could prove he was wrong. On the other hand, isn't Graves such a tease! Poor Grim, I sympathize with him!
The entire story is also interwoven with lots of angst, from both parts, adding more spice to the story. Their dialog at the end of the story proves this, as well as Grim's recollections at the beginning.
Good work as usual! I hope you'd update the story sooner!
| Yaoi-sama 12/4/10 . chapter 2
I like this story because of its rich vocabulary and correct grammar (God, I've been trying to find something half-decent for centuries. Note: this is not only half-decent. It's brilliant!)
The portrayal of characters-in depth; I like it; your way of narrating, combining stream of consciousness and actual happenings is really good.
I must say, but correct me if I'm wrong in my presumptions, I think some of your characters are partly based on some anime characters. For instance, Xeraph. His red hair and scar on his face, and his professionalism greatly resemble Katze from Ai no Kusabi. Next, Graves; in many ways he resembles Edvard Elric from Full Metal Alchemist-his long blond hair and shortness; not to mention how he gets mad when somebody points that out to him. Anyhow, he's a good example of a tsundere character, that is, reacts violently and acts impolitely, yet inside, he's as vulnerable as anybody else.
Grave's outbursts of anger and his dealing with Grim have a nice comic note, yet also have some kind of a deeper meaning to them; that's their daily routine and I'm positive, as Grim noticed himself, that Graves' hostile behavior is just a way of self-defense. Or, probably, just the way he simply is; he means no harm by it.
I saw there were more chapters of this, when I scanned through some reviews, but...where are they now? The way the second chapter finished is pretty cliffy, and just makes you want to read more. So, tell me, where can I find the rest?
Anyhow, great story! Sorry for the long review. I write them only if I find the story worthy of it.
| not always sane 8/16/10 . chapter 2
this is the fucking shit. i love graves' he's like a chick. and although he's not so wity he makes up for it with his sharp toung. and grim is just so funny his piggy- ness is forgiven. i am utterly taken with this. i have a fasenation with the morbid part of the story (for the simpel fact that i dream of killing the people i hate- is that unheathy?) that appeals to the more crul part of myself. anyway, wounderfuly writen.
| Esquirella 1/4/10 . chapter 1
I gotta say that these are some mighty cool characters!

OMG i can't believe i didnt read this story sooner. I love Grim and Graves and Xeraph and Jasper. BUt honestly Jasper has got to be my fave. I mean from naming Xeraphs migrane to trying to get him to kiss him...he's just so random and cute and hes a kitty! -snuggles Jasper- This is amazing. Poor Xeraph though...he really shouldn't get drunk should he?
