You should really make this in to a song. Just write a catchy chorus and you would be on you way to fame and fortune. That is if you can sing and get really good guitars and drums. Heehee rock band!! YESS!

I was just thinking about this and your poem is the almost the exact conversation I was having with myself this morning. About wanting to be someone and be there for my family...The last two were especially good because it makes me think that you've got something going on now that's keeping you from living your dream and you just want it to end so your life can begin. this poem is touching. i'm a big dreamer myself and pursuing dreams as opposed to just squaring with reality has become a conflict in my life. and the message you got through something i'm sure many people think about. plus, the imagery you created is memorable.
