| Snip2r 2006-06-25 ch 2, | For Chapter 2: But if you look past the action and all the special effect, you might actually see your life. Remember that at first Star Wars was not about galaxy saving, but instead, it is about family. Chapter 3: Agreed (sorry to dissapoint you :P, I can't go against every single one of these) Chapter 4: But useless flash back have some useable information in them that could be used later on for either helping that person, or black mailing that person Chapter 5: But which one would you rather pay? A pair of boots that would last 5 years, or a boot that woudl last you a lifetime but is ten times the price? Chapter 6: Which is why I'm proud to say that I've been using (not driving: not of age yet) the same car for over ten years, nor do I wish for a better car. I wouldn't mind getting the new alienware laptop though... Chapter 7: But good is different for everyone. I know a father who would love his kids to be good kids and stay home and help farm, and I know a father who send his kids to school so they can be good kids. Because of this conflict being good...is kinda complex. Chapter 8: Again, what seperate the good teacher and bad teacher? Strictness? Being cool? And also morality that your parents give you is (maybe) different from the morality that my parent tell me. Also about educational system: That's why there are other educational system that let you study what you choose. And it's not learning how to learn, it's learning how to solve problems/learn as efficiently as possible. Chapter 9: But is honesty always the best policy? Being brutally honest is not good for confidence. You might argue that it is being realistic. I argue that it might hurt people enough so that they get discourage to follow their dream. Chapter 10: But at times, people take the "in God we trust" too seriously. An example is the banning of teaching evolution in a school, and instead teaching intelligent design. Why not teach both. Christianity is a powerful force in the United States, make no mistake. (By the way, this is coming from an atheist born in a muslim family) Chapter 11: One of my best friend's parent does not talk English and does not understang if I talk english. My best friend talk both his native language (which is not mine) nad English. It does not stop his parents doing a good job in raising him. It might be even better, because the child need to remember both of his languages (while I lost a lot of my mother tongue's vocabulary). Also, it is not easy to immigrate to the US, especially after 9/11. And it takes money to properly immigrate. Most of these people are desperate for a job. And don't say illegal immigrants does not have any rights, they do still have human rights. Chapter 12: and even then your map is not complete. There will be holes, weird detours, and dead ends. At times you have to follow your instincts, but make sure your logic does not go out the window. And that is it for my long review (if you put them all together anyway) |
