Lost In Context 2007-01-06 . chapter 1
This is so beautiful. I love the descriptions, like the desert wind with furious carreses and "a sky that was falling asleep." This poem is so bittersweet and sad but also so pretty.

Your poetry is excellent.

And looking back, I can see thatit wouldn't hurt as muchif you hadn't really loved me in the first place,

but you did.

And it wouldn't hurt as muchif we hadn't fit so well together,

(hadn't stitched ourselves together)

but we did.

those words hit very close to home. Especially since I've said "we fit so well together" to someone before. I was reading this poem and the whole time I was just thinking about a rush of memories that engulfed me.

I just sat here and read all of your poems. I told myself I was only going to read five or six but no I read them all. You are an amazing writer. Really, I don't even know how to describe how I'm feeling. I'm always so terrible at giving reviews, but your poetry just makes me swirl, it makes me feel like I'm in a dream. It's so lovely. I can't wait to read more from you! And I am definately adding you to my favourites♥

Beautiful. I'd like to highlight some of the lines that jumped out at me and why I like them. (I'm just starting this, so it may be a longer review than others.)

"burning sun" - the description pops"in a sky that was falling asleep" - great image"resting on the footprints" - love that mental picture"smelling like jacaranda and/brushing my hair with furious caresses" - love the use of smell, and the oxymoron of "furious caresses""(stained with white naivete)" - not sure what that means, but love the wording"Love, Tenderness, and Forever" - the capitalization of these three words just makes them feel eternal; wonderful"starfish hands" - great description"netting our fingers.../a web of flesh and silver constellations" - another great image, and nice verb usage

Overall, wonderful images throughout. Keep writing! :)

oh, this was so beautiful. you write so well, i can see this happening & it's perfect and beautiful. just lovely. you described it so well, such amazing detail. . . stitching is normally thought of as violent and painful, but the way it is here, it's just beautiful. . . pain? maybe some in there, between the lines, maybe stuff we can't see, but you made it beautiful. & ilove that.

beautiful. perfect. it really is. it gives you this picture in your mind, except for /you/ put it so much better than reality ever could.

there's a perfect beauty and yet a raw sadness in every one of these words, and that's what makes this so beautiful. ♥ the ending is so perfect -- 'and looking back, i can see that/it wouldn't hurt as much if you hadn't really loved me in the first place/but you did.' so painful and raw (perfection). 'and it wouldn't hurt as much/if we hadn't fit so well together/(hadn't stitched ourselves together)/but we did.' a perfect ending, beautiful but it made me hurt just to read it. this is beautiful. ♥

in a sky that was falling asleep,-that is gorgeous

it seems slight contradicting to say caress and furious in the same sentence.

Oh wow. The imagery was great, and by the end you had brought me to tears. Very lovely.

I think this is a very beautiful piece. Occasionally I found the flow or wording a little clumsy, and I didn't like the capitalised Love, Tenderness and Forever. However, by the end this piece really got to me.From 'and looking back...' there is a fragile painful truth, wonderfully put into words. Those lines make me ache. Wonderfully done.
