Sparrow Still Sings

abuseWow.That was nicely done. In only – what, twenty words or so?This little piece is really amazing.

The feeling this invokes, and the subtle little meanings under it.‘Rain Clouds’ usual represent bad things (for the sake of the poem I wont argue about how much I enjoy the water these clouds being, or that they help with the growing of innocent plants (and my favorite earth things of all, flowers))

Like in that old song “Rain drops keep falling on my head” – rain usually invokes the feelings of gloominess hopelessness and restriction.

Likewise – the shadow is something that comes from us. Which might represent the dark side of all beings, the terrible part of us. Shadows are the bad things inside, while the rain clouds are the bad things that are outside of us.

This piece is frightened, there is peace. Shadow and Rain are gone, two forces that are horrible inner and outer events throughout life. But, there is always that lingering fear. That heart breaker effect of everything coming back and becoming horrible again.

That’s what instantly struck me as I sat looking outside the window and reread this poem a few times. But, then again I might just be reading too deep into it xD

Say hello to another piece going on my favs!
