This was really good! I like the plot idea and the whole concept. But there were a few things that bothered me, like how it took Alex half an hour to sand up, but he still manages to jump out his window and climb down a tree with out much complaint. Also how The Jacobs decide to take Alex with them after only a single discusion, generally (through my experiance) it takes a bit longer for parents to decide on such a large thing. (it took my parents over a week to decide on fostering two of my distant relatives for a few months, I'm using that as an example)
I'm not saying that you're story isn't good, not at all, I really do like your writtign style, and the imagination put into the cult, but those were just a few things that I noticed

I've been waiting forever for this installment! I like your style of writing, but I still think you need more description. It's kind of hard to visualize your scenery. What color is the carpet? The wallpaper? I have a hard time doing all that, too. But with time, you'll get it.

i liked it. some of it was a little unrealistic (like the fact that alex's parents didn't come to koichi's house looking for their son) but i liked it anyway. i agree with koichi about people not caring what straight couples do in public but it they see two guys like holding hands or anything they freak out. that annoys me so much.good story!
