I loved the conclusion to this piece; it’s hard to not numb ourselves to all the pain and discomfort after a while, it’s even harder to stay thawed to all areas of our lives. I think there’s a point in everyone’s life where they get to the breaking point and wont let anything else in.

“Turn ice for a/Day, then why not/A year? Why not be/So cold, that/Ice becomes tear” and “Cutting remarks/That wash of our backs/We only give value/When we answer/That” - Were among my favorites. keep up the good work.
