This reminds me of in a recent "The Simpsons" episode where groundskeeper Willy looks like death with his scythe and his black poncho which causes Grandpa Abe to run and win the race to outrun Death/Willy. I always admire rhyme because I can't do it myself. The word "whack" half brought me out of the trance of the poem because I find some weird humor in it but that doesn't mean it needs to be changed. lovely. :)
