i like how you portray the conflict between selfish materialism and "peace and love" as a struggle between good and evil, as if the world can ever be so black and white.

Some folks who read this may think you're just whining, but to be quite honest I thought you had some valid points. Even though it wasn't exactly in essay format, I still believe you made your point effectively.

I do believe there is hope, but only time will tell.

I agree with most of wrote, though I do not think that being a stay at home mom has anything to do with how much tv children watch. I know kids with stay at home moms, and these kids have tvs, game cubes, dvd players, and computers in their rooms. I watch less television than many of my peers, but the only time that my mother stayed home with my sisters and myself for extented periods of time, was when she was on maternity leave. I believe that being with one's mother every time one is home, makes a child, especially older children, go elsewhere to hang out.

I do agree with you on Paris Hilton and other drop out role models. What happened to people like Einstien being role models?
