First of all, I hate you for stopping releasing the fic on FP at that moment. I mean, seriously, I was so looking forward to know what happens next! Now I'll have to wait a good month before I can read the end... (hopefully you are still selling the book because if not I'll throw a tantrum.)
Okay now that I'm done ranting, I guess I could start praising your work. Cuz well, I gotta admit I really enjoyed reading this so far. (I even planned on buying the book after a few chapters, but now it's more than just plans, it's what happens next.) So thanks a lot for writing this, and I hope you keep the good work up!

reading this story has been ahmazing, to say the least, and you are definately an astounding writer (and I WILL be buying your book!)
I have so many theories about this story, it would probably take up three review boxes to write them all down (and i'm crunched for time!)
Your spelling and grammar are better than you give yourself credit for; only occasionally will you leave you a quotation mark or misplace a comma, however you always spell "heel" as "heal" and I thought I should let you know!
Anyway, I can't WAIT to read your other works and order this book as fast as I can! You are truly talented (:

There's a lot I'd like to say abt this story, but I dont think I'll be able to put all of them into words.
It's probably one of my all time favorites! Its weird how the first time I stumbled across this book on Fp, I read the first chapter and then decided it was too gore for me! I actually thought that Volcrian was the assassin mentioned in the summary, and he seemed way too much of psycho for me. But for some reason I came back to this story some time after, and I'm glad I did.

Hey u know, it's actually the first e-book I've bought! And it's been a great read; I'm sad it's over. I'll be sure to check out ur other stories on ur website. Just not now; my mind is still too wrapped up around cat's eye and reluctant to let go just yet.
I've really like ur representation of the characters; they became quite distinct, real persons in my mind. Dorian and Burn will hold a special place in my heart. sniff

I'm getting a bit teary-eyed here! Must be my hormones or something :S

Lastly, do u have any special songs that u associate with this book? I've been listening to "everywhere" by bran van 30, and "this kiss" by faith hill, constantly while reading cat's eye. And although these songs dont really match with fantasy, to me they just fit well, and I'm pretty much sure that even after a long time, hearing these songs will tug at something in my heart and I'll be reminded of Sora and Crash.

Interesting start, I'll say that much. However, I think the characterization was a mite off. Of course, not much to be done now-- it's published, right? Ah, well. Both characters introduced in this prologue seem have their traits and ideals shoved down the reader's throat; show, not tell.

I like the diction in some areas, though-- particularly the paragraph "the boy looked at him for a long moment...". It flowed very nicely. All in all, your style is admirable, and it reads very well. Unfortunately, I wasn't all too gripped by the characters, and the prose is borderline purple. Maybe in time, eh? Congrats on being published.

I was so impressed when I heard that this story turned into a book. A little late but CONGRATS! That must have felt great. I will have to get my hands on this book. I've read these earlier chapters a while ago before you came out for the book so I will have to go find it now so I can finally read the desired ending! hehe. A job well done. Fantastic story.

I really love this story it's got a really good the plot and I like how the love story isn't like some which is all pining and lusting which is great! Well done!

So far it seems intersting. I just had a problem with "Wolfy mage". It doesn't flow and honestly sounds kinda funny.

Congrats on getting the story published, but you should definitely stick a disclaimer in the summary about not being able to finish Cat's Eye without purchase. I had planned on buying this once I'd finished the full story, but not being alerted to this problem in the first place has made me seriously consider just dropping it entirely.

I have to say, I absolutely adore this story. And I don't say that a lot... so be proud. The writing is excellent. Aside from a few random typos, I feel like I'm reading an actual professional, published work here.
I've also got to add that the way you keep the romantic thread subdued is really wonderful. Sora and Crash aren't spending the entire first half of the story pining for each other with dramatic inner monologue-- I waited for it but it never popped up. It's so unbelievably refreshing.

and I say this fresh after reading great works like Maria V. Snyder's poison study and magic study...
you should read them if you have not already :-)
I want to compliment you on keeping within context. one aspect of Snyder's novels that really bothered me was her lack of restraint in using modern diction.

Yay! It's finally ready! I'm so excited! Now I get to show everyone this awesome story I've been raving about for... how many years? Whoa... It doesn't even feel like that long, though. It's always funny trying to go back and remember how you started something. I don't remember how I stumbled across this little gem so many years ago, but I am very glad that I did. I always tell everyone it's one of my favorite unpublished stories, now it gets to be one of my favorite published books of all time. You really did a wonderful job, and I can't wait to read more of what you do, Theresa.
