| Edgar Wellington 2006-07-22 ch 1, | abuseAs poetry goes this is not as compelling as some of your other stuff. But as confessional and description of the life of me it is interesting. This moves like a four dimensional roller coaster. The begining is frustratingly vague. What legacies? Why did they die? Who killed them? It seems that smiles become the avenue of lies. A silent truth is one that can not be heard...or can not be spoken of...but must be played. And then we ride through the less caring daydreamer...doodler...I love that forth stanza "Flirting noise that pours forth fake" Attitude! Then you get into the reader's face "Look at me well". I can relate to feeling beyond or past or unsimilar to one's contemporaries. I can relate to being conquered by hungery hands... I can also relate to a certain optimism, an optimism in the dark knowledge that ultimately one does have control of one's own life. |

| multiples of six 2006-07-21 ch 1, | abuseThis must probably be the first poetic essay I've ever read. And I like it, yes I do. It gives the impression of a person who is an individual, kind of quirky, intelligent, with a love of language. And the rhyming is so subtle I didn't even notice it until halfway through - which means it's great, in my book. Anyway - very nicely written. As I said,.. I like it! =) |
