Very nice poem. I like the portrayal that you have in it which evolves around the truth of how wisdom is viewed.

Oh my gosh. I love this. I have always had a soft spot for wisdom (not that I am the wisest person of them all). I love the last two lines.

I also love the lines: "People will not lend their ear, To wisdom without cane and beard."

Despite the hundreds of 'wisdoms' floating around, this was a pretty competent poem. The rhyming did not sound forced and flowed pretty well. Me likes.

I'd like to note something funny. At first glance, "People will not lend their earTo wisdom without cane and beard." looked to me like "People will not lend their CARTo wisdom without cane and beard."

I was oddly amused until I read it over. I like your version better. ;P
