wow I love it,

I can't get over the first stanza-

I’m a captive of your smile

The ground beneath your feet

Pretending all the while

That I don’t feel the heat

Is this written from your own heart, or did you mean it like you are mimickign others for writing about it? Well anywho it is a good poem.
