This was so cute, and sweet near the end. I would listen to it. :p but just to be the great person I am: "It's no like I go out; Where people will say my face" Shouldn't the "no" be not and the "say" be see? just pointing that out...unless I'm wrong and then it never happened.

I like this song; it reads exactly like a Bright Eyes one. I love the imagery, especially "Cause I'm too lazy to fix the sheets/They haven't been changed in over three weeks/And it feels like I'm sleeping in sand."

The chorus, although most Bright Eyes songs do not have choruses (that would be a more Death Cab tool) is also really nice. It's not stereotypical, and mentioning a certain time, making the shadow specific, like five o'clock (God forbid four o'clock), makes the song more specific, less vague, more personal. Good touch.

I love the part about the cat. I can relate. I have seven cats. They're ** unless you feed them. Gotta love them, despite their self-righteousness.

God, I just love love love this whole thing. The bridge is good, despite my feelings about asking a love to come back. I suppose, though, that if she left the narrator, it's alright to ask her back. Although I'm not fond of choruses, I even like chorus B. It completes the song. I can't find anything wrong with this. Not even spelling errors. It's such a clever song.
