I completely know what you mean. I'm so embarrassed to read old things I wrote. But I agree with the other commenter that they are still "yours," whether or not you particularly want to claim them.

I like the poem and I like that you know that Frankenstein *created* the monster, he isn't the monster.

Yea, I know what you mean. But I still treasure the horrible angsty poems I wrote, because whether I like it or not, they're still me. In fact, I do have a couple of my old poems on my account(and you can really tell which ones are the old ones too xP), and I'm not ashamed of them.

But as for the poem(this IS a review, after all), it was quite good. Great, original topic, it was true and silly at the same time. Good show.
