The Egg 2006-10-02 . chapter 11In fifth grade, I was called on to read a paragraph about Uranus. I was sent out to the hall because I couldn't stop laughing. Nearly half the class went with me, too.
That's why we didn't make clocks have a sense of humor. That's why clocks can only tell the time, and not think about it. Because if they were allowed to think about it, then that would mean an error at some point in time...
...and three minutes is a HUGE deal, maybe not for one person, but imagine the entire world losing three minutes. Operations, markets, businesses, last words...Totally fucked up. Destroyed.
But I'm being to dramatic. You know, I could say that I got through your writing that you feel some kind of sympathy with 12 o'clock. And it isn't like 12:00 cares...That's why people made clocks like they did.
It isn't like man was thinking 'hmm, now how does 6:53 feel about being 6:53?' we said, 'tell me what time it is', a command, and made clocks without feeling or thought or imagination, or humanity. Maybe so they could just do their job. Maybe because clock man already had to think about others feelings and didn't want to worry about 6:53.
Yup! That's just me though.
Thank you for the mention as well...But you don't have to thank me, because I enjoy it. :D.
Without the sun, there is no Earth. Believe me, we'll know when there's no sun (as we're freezing to death in the next few minutes of it not existing).
(Logically, that is) |
The Egg 2006-09-02 . chapter 10Changed my name. Again...I'm too attached to Max to lose him yet, ha ha.
I agree with the idea. The IDEA. Anybody who puts his hand in a fire will feel pain no matter how old or if anyone is around to freak out about it.
...But I'm thinking that the idea is anything is possible, right? Right? By the way, Flesh Blood and Bones is a great title for a book, I need to remember that.
Yup. The Mind and the Body are two different things, at least, generally.
To be nitpicky: The sun doesn't 'rise'. The Earth rotates. HA!
That wasn't worth it.
Keep writing, will continue reading. |
The Egg 2006-08-25 . chapter 8Same here, I hate the way I look in pictures.
Is that strange emotion, when you move in a mirror and that other person moves back, called 'Awareness'?
Not sure. Head hurts. |
The Egg 2006-08-25 . chapter 7This one was funny, got me a good laugh, thanks for that!
Most people are humble when it comes to the universe. We study it, yeah, but I'm not sure if I've ever heard a scientist say that it would be possible to fully understand all of it.
And in being confident pricks and studying stuff that we'll 'never understand', we've come to understand a lot. (I'm not quoting you, to clear confusion, when I put stuff like 'this')
So I've found something to disagree with. Sure, humans are stupid, but that would make everybody who observes the stupidity of everyone else around them even stupider than the stupid people they're observing.
And, at some point, everyone has noticed how stupid people are. It isn't maybe Darwin was an idiot, it's maybe he knew he was an idiot and he didn't give a damn.
Liked the ending, also funny. |
The Egg 2006-08-25 . chapter 6It goes along with my idea of the actual 'Hell'. Not that stupid, flame-thrower killing dungeon that people feel obligated to play heavy metal while they think of it, but...
But a place of true isolation. 'Alone' does not exist, I think, at least not in this world, because a human always has other humans around, or evidence of other humans, or himself.
Yeah...So my 'Hell' is basically a place where you aren't even sure if you can be called 'human'. (as opposed to asking yourself if you 'exist' which seems to be in vogue these days...at least they know they're human...)
That's all. I need to avoid ranting in reviews. |
The Egg 2006-08-25 . chapter 5I agree with ya.
But, not everything is black and white. Ignorance is bliss, but it depends on what your ignorant of.
If you're ignorant, wouldn't that mean that you don't know the question, and therefore wouldn't want to know the answer?
That makes everybody ignorant. So while we're all thinking about ignorance, we are already. Cool. |
tsuki :D 2006-08-13 . chapter 5 I personally find extreme ignorance more appealing than extreme paranoia. Imagine being of everything and everyone within your personal bubble all the time o__O But that's just mee ~__~ Besides, I love that quote, "igorance is bliss." It's been suitable for a few instances (but, admittedly, kind of trivial compared to political issues and such) in my life. |
tsukiii :)) 2006-08-13 . chapter 2 I remember I had a dream one time where I was a gladiator and I got stabbed and then I just lay there as the whole world started fading into black around the edges :D But I heard that if you actually die in a dream, you can die in real life cuz your brain thinks that you're really dead so your body shuts down. Scary, huh? That swimming dream is pretty creepy, hun ~__~ You need some hugs! This stuff really gets you thinking, though. You really should go into Philosophy! |
tsuki :)) 2006-08-13 . chapter 1 This reminds me of how much I hate that damned cuckoo clock downstairs and how I'm going to take a shotgun to that damned bird one day. |
TiggerTheParalympian 2006-08-13 . chapter 2There's a couple other types of dream like this.
1) the falling one, where you just keep on falling through this canyon and never reach the bottom until BANG! you're awake.
2) The flying one where you feel on top of the world and you let all your worries go and then suddenly you hear a supposed bird call and then BANG! you're awake in your bed.
I dunno mabe that just me by hey...
You could review my story could you? 14,202 Miles From Home

FuzzyGrapes 2006-08-13 . chapter 3Wow. These little things are really deep, without being all scarily philosophical ... And by that, I mean using all technical words and that.
Ever thought of becoming a philosopher? (Like that dude and the apple ... Or maybe he was just an obnoxious student of science...) |
FuzzyGrapes 2006-08-13 . chapter 1You know when you read something and it is just so exactly what you'd been thinking lately that you just go "Oh my GOD, I have been thinking just the same thing" in your head really LOUD?
Well, that just happened to me :) Like, the whole 'what is the point of stuff?' in a non-suicidal way. And I really like this because it is the whole *thing*, you know? Good job for reading my mind ... while I'm looking at my clock on the other side of the world.
*favs* |
stalkerlesson101 2006-08-13 . chapter 1hm i liked all of these... i just started reading and i couldn't stop. It was like the ramblings of a man everyone says is mad but the closer you listen the more it makes sense... its an odd odd world we're living in |
 The Egg 2006-08-13 . chapter 4Irony:
Time is a man-made invention. |
 The Egg 2006-08-13 . chapter 3Hm...
Reminds me of that annoying filler episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion... |
