I like this. There are some subtle rhymes in there - I don't know if they were intentional or not but they softened it slightly. The commas at the end of each line, too: I don't know if this was poetic grammar or on purpose but it broke the lines up and slowed down the flow of the whole thing, which I liked. x iris.
