TinuvielDork 2007-01-19 . chapter 1Oh, wow, I don't remember reading this one before, but I truly enjoyed it. However, maybe this is just the first time I've read it since you revised it.
I love how this poem is titled "Breathe," because it simply stopped my breath. After I finished reading it, I realized I had been holding my breath the whole way through. Also, as I reread it, I saw how it can also be that the whole scene is taking place in the space of a breath.
I know I say this for just about every poem you write, but it's absolutely beautiful. My english teacher was recently talking about how when one writes a poem, the poet can use any type of word, as long as it is the perfect word for the poem. You always use the perfect words; the ones that fit the poem exactly, and just transport me into the scene you write.
Much love...TinuvielDork |
