Reviews For: lone star
Femme de Dieu 2006-09-11 . chapter 1
This brings out such anguish with the words "crash-clatter" "tearful scream" "smashed" "shards glinting." & then "again" such desolation at the "aftermath." Been at this spot myself once or twice. It is so devastating, and you captured that precisely with the words ""blurred sight" "tossed in careless anger" "scattered" "helplessly" "crumple." I did feel as if i would 'n e v e r' "have the energy to speak again." But as you can tell, we resilient humans DO survive...sometimes against our own wishes. And we find our voice once more. But after the pain subsides, we are grateful that we didn't give into it...for life has a way of rejuvenating itself and the rebirth of new growth is usually just as exquisite...many times MORE exquisite...than the pain that brought it about. Take hope and hang on!

Truly, Tourterelle

Ahh... the last line worked so well for me.

It's odd, now that I think about it. It would seem that the term 'lone star' would turn into a sort of cliche, like 'lone wolf', but it hasn't, at least not as far as I'm concerned. And it strikes a kind of sadness in me every time I hear it.

Hey..

Loved the clarity it the beginning.. very easy to see what has happened.

Following that, the symbolism was well carried.. and the entire delivery excellent..

Thanks for the read
